Find Your Place, Find Your People.

True community is built on love, servanthood, and mutual support.
Here are some of the ways you can participate, volunteer, and serve.

Use your time and talents to make a real difference for people both near and far. There are many opportunities to volunteer right here in Queen Anne, throughout Seattle, and around the world.

Women’s Circles

Women’s Circles offer space for connection, reflection, and shared faith. Each month, women of QALC gather in small groups—called Circles—to support one another and explore Scripture together in an open, thoughtful setting. Whether you're new or a longtime member, there's a place for you.

  • QALCW Circle meets the third Tuesday of each month at church (with a Zoom option).

  • Northern Lights Circle meets the third Monday of each month via Zoom.

Men’s Ministry

This group of members meets regularly to support Lutheran World Relief, Easter breakfast, Jazz on the Grass, and many more events throughout the year.

Also, despite the name, all genders and ages are welcome!

If you’re interested in participating, please contact Rich Mathis at richmathes@aol.com.

Visitation Team

In the spirit of the Good Shepherd who cares for the sheep, we serve to provide a ministry of caring. By reaching out in friendship and compassion to our neighbors, in good times and in times of need, we strive to make every person feel they are a special part of our faith community.

Did you know Queen Anne Lutheran has a Visitation Team? Hospitality doesn’t end at the church door. There are lots of reasons someone you know—maybe even YOU—can’t get to the church building. That won’t stop us from including you in Queen Anne Lutheran Church life, including Communion. The Visitation Team visits folks who are:

  • Homebound, and wishing for a visit to see friends and catch up on Church activities and projects

  • In the hospital, and longing for a friendly smile from non-medical people

  • Recuperating, but not quite well enough to travel to church just yet

Grieving over the death of a loved one, and just want to share some moments of melancholy and joyful remembering in the privacy of home.

If you, or someone you know, may benefit from a visit, just call the church office. Team leader Connie Wurm will arrange for teammates to visit as little as just once, or as often as once a month. Whatever the visitation need, Queen Anne Lutheran’s Visitation Team is just waiting for your invitation.

Holden Village

Holden Village is a remote retreat center in Washington's Cascade Mountains that provides a space for rest, renewal, and connection with nature and community. Visitors can fill their time with activities like classes, arts and crafts, and socializing over meals, but also have the option to spend their days relaxing, reading, or hiking the surrounding trails. While rooted in the Lutheran tradition, the village welcomes people of all backgrounds to engage in its daily rhythms of recreation, work, worship, and community life. Guests should expect a rustic, unplugged experience with limited internet access, where they can disconnect from daily distractions and focus on relationships with others.

A group trip to Holden Village is organized on a semi-annual basis by Queen Anne Lutheran Church. If you’re interested in learning more about Holden Village or are interested in going on the next retreat, please reach out!
