Join us at October’s Silent Sip & Read, featuring a reading by Seattle author Chuck Caruso, a master of the dark genres—just right for the “spooky season”!  

Silent Sip & Read offers a quiet space to enjoy your favorite book and sip on a glass of wine or other beverage.*  We gather at 7 pm.
At 8 pm Chuck Caruso will read, followed by time for Q & A. This is a free event.

Chuck Caruso, 19th-century Americanist and Edgar Allan Poe scholar, combines his deep roots in the American Gothic with his own contemporary sense of macabre humor. His stories range from crime thrillers to western noir to grotesque horror. His first novel The Lawn Job won the Independent Publisher Award for Best Regional Fiction. He also wrote the short story collection The Meaning of Blood and Other Tales of Perversity.

8:30 – 9:00 – Chat and Sip with Fellow Readers⁠ (and, if you like, order a book)
