Season Finale Organ Concert—Sunday, May 3
Our Season Finale presents St. James Cathedral Director of Music Joseph Adam for his first concert at the Wech organ.
Joseph Adams, resident organist with Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall, remains the most recent American to take top honors at the prestigious St. Albans International Organ Competition since his win in 1991. With the tenth anniversary of the Robert Wech Opus 10 organ missed due to the pandemic, the season finale celebrates fifteen years of the instrument—one of only two full-sized examples in the United States by the German builder.

The four books we will cover are Esther, the Song of Songs, Ecclesiastes, and Revelation. A final session will look at the book the Texas A&M administration has banned from the syllabus in a philosophy course as an expression of race (or “woke”) ideology: Plato’s Symposium. We are excited to welcome religion and philosophy scholars from Seattle Pacific University and Seattle University. Go Here for full details!
